The Club was well represented at this year’s district conference in Bournemouth with a party of 11 members and partners.
The first evening everybody attended a meal in an Italian restaurant organised by President’s wife Cherry Larcombe.
There was a full programme on Saturday and also Sunday morning. Among the top speakers, and also the most entertaining was former Coronation Street star, Shaun Williamson,who promoted the British Wireless for the Blind Fund and sports reporter, Garry Richardson, who recalled some of the highlights of his 43 year career with the BBC.
The Rotary Party on the Saturday included a banquet and a ball with music provided by Mike Harrison.
The national Rotary president Dennis Spiller travelled from a conference in Wales to open the Sunday session.
