The hard work put in by members of the Club, leading up to Christmas, has really paid off.
Due to the generosity of local people the club has boosted its charity funds in the region of £4,500.
By accompanying Father Christmas on his sleigh around the area, they also provided a chance for many youngsters (and the not so young) to greet Santa in person.
President Graham Larcombe said: “This is the biggest money raising event we do throughout the year, but it is also good to know how much it is appreciated by so many people. I am extremely grateful to all those who took part with our efforts, especially organiser, Henry Golding”.
The club will support various charities throughout the year, with £1,000 a year already pledged to YouCan Cancer Concern, which has premises in Westgate which are used to give breaks to young cancer sufferers.
